Brook Lopez was out and Deron Williams was in. While Williams played the first half and got injured in the second quarter, when pulling up for a jumper landing on his ankle wrong. Beal and Irving In a Showdown!
The last time these two teams faced each other it was interesting and it wasn’t to long ago. That game was in OT and won by the Cavs with Kyrie Irving’s 41 points. By half time in game 2 the Cavs were down 56-38, not a good start. Irving did bring it back up but not enough to win the game, he had 28 points. Affalo’s 30 Couldn’t Get It Done Against the Heat!
Miami has outscored the Magic in every quarter except for the second, which they were tied. Again Wade didn’t play,but it was no problem to the Heat. Lebron James scored 21 points and 7 assists. DeRozan Unstoppable Against the Sixers!
Demar DeRozan was just on fire in this game against the Sixers. DeRozan had 33 on the night, missing 9 shots.Spencer Hawes only missed 3 field goals and had 28 points for the Sixers! Paul Millsap Comes Back Strong on Pistons!
Paul Millsap was injured the last couple games, but it didn’t phase him on bit. Millsap put up 19 points, going 8 for 14 but only grabbing 2 rebounds. Brandon Jennings had a good night with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Pistons couldn’t get pass the Hawks. Hawks 93 Pistons 85
Blazers Are Staying Hot in Win Against the Bucks!
Blazers have now won 8 straight, tied with the San Antonio in the Western Conference. LaMarcus Aldridge is looking like a All Star again, with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Aldridge had some help from his point guard Damien Lillard with 19 points. Caron Butler and Ersan Ilyasova play in this game after both being out previous games due to injury. Butler scores 9 points and 7 rebounds. Luke Ridnour started this game and was the point leader for the Bucks with 13. Blazers were to hot for the Bucks. Blazers 91 Bucks 82
Clippers Win a Close One in Minnesota!
Kevin Love and the Timberwolves tried to even the series with one game a piece, but Chris Paul had a different idea in mind. Paul set a record of 12 consecutive games with a double-double (points & assists) beating Magic Johnson. Paul had 20 points & 11 assists. Blake Griffin continues to dominate against the Wolves with 20 points &10 rebounds. One Kevin was on fire tonight and the other one was just ice cold. Near Trip-Dub for Davis in Win Against Jazz!
Anthony Davis is mainly known for his defense and blocked shots. Well Davis had 9 in the game against the Jazz, also with 22 points & 9 rebounds. He almost had a Triple-Double for himself but I’m sure he is happy they got the W. Trey Burke,rookie from Michigan, made his NBA debut for the Jazz. Burke ran backup to John Lucas III, 11 points going 5-8. We will wait and see when Jazz starts Burke so he could help Gordon Hayward win in the west. Utah loss to New Orleans by 7 points. Vintage Spurs Defeats Young Celtics!
With the win against the Celtics, Spurs reach a 8 game win streak. Spurs are fighting for that number one spot in the Western Conference. Spurs were distributing the ball very well in this game. All starters reached double figures in points,Tony Parker was the high point man with 19 points.The Celtics had 3 players with 19 points (Jeff Green,Jared Sullinger (17 rebounds) & Avery Bradley). Suns Fall Short Again, This Time To The Kings!
Suns star Eric Bledsoe didn’t play in the game against the Kings due to injury. Luckily Goran Dragic is back to his old form, dropping 31 points in this game. Backup Gerald Green who started for injured Bledsoe scored 23 points. Suns couldn’t stop the Kings down the stretch. They’re 3 teams in Texas that are good and two of them faced off last night , Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks. Houston won the last match-up by 8 points. Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavs want revenge against the Rockets. Nowitzki had a great game with 35 points and three back to back to back jumpers in the 4th to bring Dallas back in the game. Dirk wasn’t the only guy on the team with big numbers, Monte Ellis scored 37 points only missing 5 of his 18 shots. Shawn Marion hit the game leading three in the corner. James Harden , who had 23 gets fouled and only hits one free throw being down by 1 point. Jose Calderon makes both free throws. Harden has one more attempt to tie the game from three and misses it. OT in the Bay!
This is the second time Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors meet. Grizzlies won the first outing by18 points,Warriors made it interesting in this game. Andre Iguodala had a chance to end another game but was covered by two defenders and just came up short, 75-75 at the end of the fourth. Grizzlies managed to score 13 points in overtime compared to the Warriors 6. Mike Conley had 5 points in overtime and ended the game with 19. Both Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph had double-doubles. Poor shooting by Iggy but good passing the ball with 14 assists as the Warriors loss in OT to the Grizzlies. Grizzlies 88 Warriors 81
Crazy Game In The Garden!
Pacer and Knicks finally face off since the playoffs last season. Knicks needed a desperate win with a record of 3-7 coming into this game. Knicks had a pretty good lead in the first quarter with 11 points to the Pacers 0. Knicks were up mostly in this game, with Carmelo Anthony leading the way. Pacers were down by one and George Hill had two wide open three pointer but missed them both. With nine seconds left of the game the Pacers were down by three , Paul George takes a three and gets fouled by Iman Shumpert. George makes all three free throws to take it to OT, 89-89. Pacers just took over the gassed out Knicks in OT. George had 35 points and Anthony put up 30 points & 18 rebounds in a loss against the Pacers. Pacers 103 Knicks 96
